Nokia X6 Final Charging Solution

Nokia X6 Final Charging Solution

Symptoms :

* Display show " Not Charging "

    Solutions :

    * Check Charging Interface ( X2000 ), measure negative ( - ) and positive ( + ) resistance. clean if necessary.
      * Check Charging track from X2000 until Betty IC / N2300 ( through F2000, L2000, R2000, C2001, C2000 ). Change part if neccesary.
        * Change Betty IC ( N2300 ) if previous solution not solve the problem.

          Refference :

          This phone is charged through the smaller Nokia standard interface (2.0 mm plug). The wider standard
          charger (3.5 mm) can be used together with the (A-44 charger adapter.

          Charging is controlled by energy management, and external components are needed to protect the baseband
          module against EMC, reverse polarity and transient frequency deviation.

          Normal and extreme voltages
          Energy management is mainly carried out in the two Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) BETTY
          and AVILMA. These two circuits contains a number of regulators. In addition there are some external
          regulators too.
          In the table below normal and extreme voltages are shown when a BL-5J S-pack battery is used.

                          Nokia 5800 XM RM-356 Simcard Solution

                          Symptoms :

                          1. Simcard Not Detected by Phone
                          2. Display show " Insert Sim / Offline mode " although simcard has been inserted

                          Solution :

                          1. Check Simcard Interface / Connect0r ( X2700 ), change if needed
                          2. Check VSim on C2700, must be 1.8V - 3 V.
                          3. Check Avilma's IC, Change if needed.

                          Refference :

                          • SIM interface
                          The device has one SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) interface. It is only accessible if battery is removed.
                          The SIM interface consists of an internal interface between RAPIDO and EM ASIC (N2200), and of an external
                          interface between N2200 and SIM contacts.
                          The SIM IF is shown in the following figure:

                          The EM ASIC handles the detection of the SIM card. The detection method is based in the BSI line. Because of
                          the location of the MM card, removing the battery causes a quick power down of the MM IF.
                          The EM ASIC SIM1 interface supports both 1.8 V and 3.0 V SIM cards. The SIM interface voltage is fIrst 1.8 V
                          when the SIM card is inserted, and if the card does not response to the ATR a 3 V interface voltage is used.

                          T-Mobile Claims Largest 4G Network

                          T-Mobile today launched an advertising blitz for its new fourth-generation, or 4G, service, claiming it as the largest 4G network in the U.S.
                          The Bellevue, Wash.-based carrier announced its upgraded HSPA-plus -- technically an interim 3.5G standard -- network as 4G in a major ad campaign. T-Mobile said it had turned on HSPA-plus in six more metro areas, bringing the total number of high-speed wireless cities covered to 75. With more rollouts planned for the next two months, it said it will cover 200 million residences in the U.S. by the end of the year.

                          "By the end of this year, we'll have two times the coverage out there from anything approaching a competitive LTE or WiMax footprint," said Neville Ray, T-Mobile's chief network officer.

                          By the end of the year, Verizon will reach 110 million with its 4G network, using a competing standard, called Long-Term Evolution, or LTE. Sprint, meanwhile, said its 4G network, which uses WiMax, will reach 120 million this year.

                          Until now, T-Mobile hasn't referred to its HSPA-plus network as 4G, since the standard isn't technically built on 4G infrastructure. However, the high-speed networks of other carriers are not technically 4G as well, with all carriers playing fast and loose with the term.

                          T-Mobile's upcoming marketing campaign advertising "America's largest 4G network" also features one commercial taking aim at Apple's iPhone and its oft-criticized exclusive carrier, AT&T. The campaign will also advertise the HTC MyTouch 4G phone optimized already for its network, as well a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook with HSPA-plus built in.

                          The company also recently touched on plans to expand its high-speed network, moving to 42-megabits per second in most of the carrier's cities. By 2012, T-Mobile will upgrade its network to the 84-megabits per second level of the HSPA-plus standard.

                          With aggressive expansion plans for high-speed wireless, T-Mobile is fighting to be the nation's largest network of lightning-fast wireless, whether it is true 4G or not.
