Warning : Performing a hard reset will wipe all of your personal data, we highly recommended to backup all of your data first.

Your device freezes or has fatal errors
If your device freezes or hangs, you may need to close programs or reset
the device to regain functionality. If your device is still responsive but a
program is frozen, close the program using the task manager. If your device
is frozen and unresponsive, press and hold [POWER ] for 8-10 seconds. The device
will reboot automatically.
If this does not solve the problem, perform a factory data reset. In Menu
mode, select Settings → Privacy → Factory data reset → Reset Tablet→

How to Hard Reset Samsung Galaxy TAB GT-P1000

1. Turn Off the Samsung Galaxy TAB
2. Press and Hold the HOME + VOLUME UP button
3. And then briefly press the POWER button.
4. Phone will restart for twice ,and as soon as u see yellow colour word release the button
5. Select full reset by pressing volume button then home button to confirm

How to Put to Download mode Samsung Galaxy TAB GT-P1000

1. Turn Off the Samsung Galaxy TAB
2. Press and Hold the VOLUME DOWN button
3. and then briefly press the POWER button.

Hi....I followed your procedure for Hard Reset.
However, after step#3, the yellow colour words appeared and so I released the button...but no phone restart twice...it that okay?

than I see the option to wipe data/ factory reset....so I press Vol Down to it, the home button. Now I can see on my screen that green Android mascot with an exclamation point in a white triangle above it. But it stayed there for about 5 minutes now....is that normal? Is it hard resetting? Im still waiting until now its staying there and I dont know for how long.....I hope this is normal :(
